Henrietta Barnett Mock Exams

Since September 2019 the Henrietta Barnett has been using the GL Assessment exam for their first round test.

The first round comprises English, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning. Maths is no longer tested in the first round. 

The actual exam will be approximately 60-70 minutes long containing timed sections for the three subjects. 

Our Henrietta Barnett mocks:  

a) follow the GL Assessment exam content and format 

b) are tailored to the difficulty level of the real Henrietta Barnett exam

c) provide the same time pressure within each subject.

However, our mock exams extend beyond the duration of the actual test. This decision is based on our observation that, given the intense competition, practicing shorter papers will not offer sufficient preparation and training. Consequently, to afford girls enrolled in our courses and external students, more comprehensive practice, we have devised a longer test. 

Our extended papers impose the same time constraints as the actual exam, and because they offer more extensive practice, the girls are better prepared and better able to manage the shorter duration of the real examination.
